3 Major issues with Taxi app in Nairobi

There is no doubt that Kenyan productivity and profitability are severely hampered by transportation issues.

For this reason, we ran a survey to figure out the key pain points that users experience

3 major issues with using taxi applications in Nairobi that will affect productivity and profitability
1. Cancelled Jobs

Many users complained that whenever they make a trip that is not cash then the drivers in the taxi app companies request them to cancel the trip. If the user doesn't cancel then the drivers don't drive to the pickup location claiming there is "heavy traffic", thus leaving the user confused and severely delayed.

2. Unauthorized Trips

Users also complained that they normally don't get an invoice at the end of the month. What they get are many trip receipts that have been charged to their credit card. 90% of the time they don't review all of the trips due to the overwhelming time requirement. Also, employees sometimes abuse the service and when requested to put a reason for the trip, they just write the word "Official" (still trying to figure what this word means).

3. Not Billed per Department

Users hoped they could get department level billing so that they could have multiple people review all trips.

At PTG Travel we are passionate about the productivity and profitability of our clients and fellow Kenyan firms in general. Here are some solutions we have innovated to address of the user challenges from our survey.
